Cultural interests
In the immediate vicinity of Forte dei Marmi is a lot of great historical treasures:
- The castles and residences of Malaspina in Carrara.
- Lucca, just 20 km, with its intact city walls of the fifteenth century, its one hundred medieval churches and Renaissance palaces. Birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini, preserves, among other things, the Roman Amphitheater, which gives its name to the main square, the Romanesque cathedral that welcomes the beautiful tomb of Ilaria del Carreto and the famous Tower of June.
- Pietrasanta and the Museum dei Bozzetti.
